In my defen...I am a recent statistic of just this! In my defense I stood up to the "workplace bully", who so happen to be my supervisor. And I was terminated for insubordination. Since this person was able to lie and make up false occurances, and it is not only me she treats in this manner the HR manager found me in the wrong. <br /><br />Shortly after, I was terminated, and made to feel I was in the wrong and had been disrespectful to the supervisor. I tried everything possible to obey her, since that is the manner in which she chooses to supervise. She talked to me as if I were a child, scolding me in front of co-workers and customers, as well as making rude comments. Seriously, at times I would leave work in tears, feeling as if I were a lesser person. <br /><br />Sad, this job is at a Community School of Music and Art, which was a joy to work at when this person was not in the picture.
